Hey Ya’ll! It’s me ANGUS (Young)! Are you Thunderstuck by my handsome looks?! Well this boy isn’t just about physical appearance, I have so many other great qualities too!

I’m very friendly, just a little timid at first. I’m a people pleaser and just want to be a good boy! I’m super intelligent and learn very quickly! I had to put on some weight when I came into the rescue, and I’m finally at my best athletic bod!

When I came into the rescue pack, I was suffering from Demodectic Mange (Demodex). Don’t let that scare you because I’m fully recovered (besides a bit more hair to grow in). It’s not transferable to humans anyways. My amazing foster parents did such a great job nursing me back to health. Speaking of my foster family, it’s just me and them in the house. I went for a walk with my neighbour and their dog (alumni SOL) and we got along great! Because I was sick I didn’t really get to socialize much, so it’s best my furever family continue to work on this with me.

I’m looking for an active adventuring furever family! I’m a strong boy and love my exercise! I could be a great running and hiking buddy! Water I’m still getting used to because my skin hurt so much and having to have baths all the time was scary. But I think one day I might like to swim!

I’m still working on my leash training when I see those squirrellies! I have a high prey drive! So I’m not sure how I would do with those cat things. My furever family will have to continue my leash training, but I’m responsive to “heeling” already! Smart eh?

I sleep in my crate all night and have some naps in it during the day. I sometime go in by myself, but when the door closes I whine a little bit. I have needy tendencies and my furever family is going to need to continue to give me minimal attention and lots of alone time to prevent separation anxiety and build my independence and confidence. Training will help too!

I love my Kong and toys and will play by myself like a good boy!

A flaw of mine is jumping! Eeek I like to check things out on the counter if not watched or greet you like this. My foster parents have been working hard on this but I sometimes forget. I’m a good boy and don’t bother them when they are eating.

So hopefully my furever family will be ready now to take me on my next chapter in life and adventure with them! Did I mention I don’t mind car rides? I can jump in and out all by myself too! Okay furever family! I’m ready to jump in and start this new life!
