Hello there! I know you have you heard about me through my darling puppies, but I’m PHYLLIS (Vance), the true leader and mama of the Office litter. I’ll share with you though that I’m more than just a mother! I’m a very sweet, laid back pup who absolutely loves to run and go on outdoor adventures. I’m on the medium/smaller large dog size, but that doesn’t stop me. I’m full grown at this dainty size.
I currently live with my foster parents and have since joining the rescue pack. It was time for my babies to grow on their own together, and me to start my own life! I’m still a pup myself, you know! I love my foster parents to the point that I actually went for a run on my own one day, but came back to my foster mama. I just needed a little space to adjust. I’m very intelligent, and learn quickly the good life and where all the good feeds happen!
I currently sleep in my crate at night and have some quiet time during the day. I’ll be honest, this is something I’m still struggling a bit with. My foster parents are doing an awesome job helping me with this, but I have a little anxiety when separated from my humans! I just get a little whiney but I’m told when to stop and I do settle down. Its recommended my furever family continue with this training.
I’m a good girl in the house though when not in my crate. I sleep on a comfy bed and I never touch things that are not mine. I respect the boundaries of furniture and truly just enjoy having some yummy treats in my kong. I’m very chill and calm, and love just lounging in the house until we go on an outdoor adventure.
This is my favourite!!! Outdoor anything, hikes, runs & naps even! I run with my foster parents and have a really good pace and I absolutely adore it! I’ve gone on adventures with other dogs and even tested out water. A little cold this time of year, but maybe in the hot summer I’ll swim more. I’m getting really good walking on leash and learning what’s proper and correcting things quickly. As again, I’m super smart!!! I have a bit of a prey drive, but my foster mama helps me with this and I am learning to ignore those squirrelies when I see them on our adventure walks!
I get along with dogs I’ve met, but haven’t really found a full interest in playing. I like to keep to myself. I haven’t met any cats or small children, but would do better in a home with respectful, older children.
Want to know something cool!? My foster parents took me on a car adventure to a big city! Who knew this small town girl, could do so well in a big city life! Well I did! We still of course went on all our fun outdoor adventures! But I hardly reacted to any of the loud noises and hustle and bustle!
I’m super excited to start my next chapter with the best furever family for me, who of course can take me on all my favourite active adventures!
